DUTIES
The Shipper/Receiver is responsible for managing incoming and outgoing shipments, coordinating internal distribution of supplies and equipment, and the processing and distribution of mail. This position ensures the accurate and timely delivery of materials to all academic, research, and administrative departments while maintaining records within the institution’s ERP system.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Shipping/Receiving experience, or a combination of warehouse related experience
- Experience using ERP or warehouse management systems
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy, particularly when verifying shipment documentation, performing inventory reconciliation, or updating records
- Ability to analyze and solve problems, particularly related to shipment discrepancies, damaged goods, or inventory variances
- Effective verbal and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with internal departments, service providers, and suppliers.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, as well as collaboratively within a team environment
- Strong customer service skills, including the ability to handle inquiries, resolve issues related to shipments or deliveries, and provide timely, accurate information to internal departments and external partners
- Understanding of TDG, WHMIS, and safe handling procedures
- Familiarity with Safety Data Sheets (SDS)
- Ability to operate warehouse equipment, including forklifts, pallet jacks, pallet wrappers, and hand trucks
- Proficient with MS Office suite, including Outlook, Word and Excel
- Experience building a respectful workplace culture that promotes diversity, learning and continuous improvement
CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT
- Applicants must be legally entitled to work in Canada
- This position may be required to work evenings and/or weekends
- This position may be required to work overtime
- May be required to work at various RRC Polytech campuses
- Incumbent must hold a valid class 5 driver`s license
- Incumbent must be physically capable of performing the duties and responsibilities of the position. A medical certificate from a certified physician will be required.
