Position:                Case Manager – TERM, FULL-TIME

Kinonje Abinoonjiiag Niigan Inc. requires a Case Manager for a term position at our Main Office in Kinonjeoshtegon First Nation.  The position is responsible for providing a wide range of Child and Family Services in accordance with the Child and Family Services Act.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
·           Build positive community and public relations.
·           Provide protection and prevention services to the children and families.
·           Regular client contact and case management.
·           Ensuring proper reports and documentation are completed and submitted promptly.
·           Report writing and case planning as required.
·           Establish and maintain partnerships with community resources for the clients and team.
·           Must be willing to work after hours and weekends if required.
·           Other duties related to the position may be assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
·           Preferred BSW degree or other post-secondary degree in a related field from an accredited University.  A combination of education and experience may be considered.
·           Knowledge of CFS legislation and standards.
·           Minimum of two years’ experience in Child and Family Services providing mandated/voluntary services.
·           Excellent assessment, interviewing and counselling skills.
·           Demonstrated crisis intervention and conflict resolution skills.
·           Excellent written and oral communication skills.
·           Good organizational, time management and prioritizing skills.
·           Ability to prioritize workloads and meet deadlines.
·           Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and CFSIS.
·           Must be self-motivated with the ability to work independently as well as a team setting.
·           Sensitivity to and understanding of First Nations culture and values.
·           Must possess a valid Manitoba driver’s license and a reliable fully insured vehicle.

·           Salary will commensurate with education and experience.
