Administrative Support (3 Positions) 
(Waywayseecappo First Nation, Brandon & Winnipeg Locations)
Overview: 
Reporting directly to the Supervisor, the successful candidate is responsible for providing administrative and clerical services. Services provided are in accordance with the cultural values and beliefs of Waywayseecappo Child & Family Services. We are looking to fill three full-time permanent Administrative Support positions for our three locations – Waywayseecappo First Nation (Head Office), Brandon and Winnipeg locations. 

Key Responsibilities:
  • Answering phones and greeting the public in a courteous professional manner
  • Records all incoming calls/walk-in-office contacts 
  • Functions as an effective member of the Team. 
  • Maintains confidentiality when carrying out assignments. 
  • Coordinates schedules to avoid conflicts with training and staff meetings. 
  • Maintains professional ethics, codes of conduct and Agency protocols at all times.
  • Maintains confidentiality when carrying out assignments.
  • Has knowledge of who is in the building and their whereabouts for safety & health purposes.
  • Other duties as assigned. 
 
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma, and/or 2+ years’ experience in relevant field.
  • Good communication and written skills.
  • Skills and knowledge of MS Office Word, Excel, and Sharepoint required.
  • Proficient computer and typing skills.
  • Demonstrated time management skills.
  • Knowledge of, or work experience in First Nation communities an asset.
  • Willing to work flexible hours and shift configurations.
 
All Hiring is subject to a satisfactory Criminal Reference Check, Prior Contact and Child Abuse Registry Check. 
 
The ability to speak Ojibwe is considered a definite asset. Preference will be given to Indigenous people, and applicants are asked to self-declare in their cover letter and describe how they meet the above qualifications. This position requires a valid Manitoba driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle.
