BACKGROUND
Island Lake First Nation Family Services was originally established and operated under the auspices of the Awasis Agency of Northern Manitoba on April 30, 1983. On April 21, 1997, Island Lake First Nation Family Services was incorporated as its own agency.
Island Lake First Nations Family Services consists of four communities: Garden Hill First Nation, St. Theresa Point First Nation, Wasagamack First Nation, and Red Sucker Lake First Nation with the total population of well over 10,000 people.

BACKGROUND

POSITION SUMMARY:
The incumbent is responsible to maintain the CFSIS system and related programs, including administrative support for Island Lake First Nations Family Services.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Travelling to the four Island Lake communities to deliver training in groups and one on one as required.
• Ensure data is accurate and up to date and that required year end reports can be produced in a timely manner.
• Maintaining ILFNFS filing system related to children in care, family services, and placements.
• Completes monthly statistical reports identifying current file lists of children, family, foster care management and intake files for the Unit Supervisor.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Relevant Post-Secondary Diploma or related Professional Certificate(s).
• A minimum of two years’ experience in an administrative position.
• Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Adobe.
• Excellent knowledge of the CFSIS program.
• Demonstrated organizational skills, interpersonal communication, and written skills.
• Knowledge of CFS Act and Provincial standards.
• Experience with computer and various software programs.
• Ability to speak the Island Lake Dialect will be considered an asset.
SALARY: Starting Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. The range for the classification is $ 68,957 annually.
