We are seeking a permanent Project Financial Support Analyst to join our Project Services Department. Under the general direction of the Enterprise Projects & Divisional Financial Services Lead, you will provide accounting, financial, cost control, and contract management support to the Generation, Transmission and Distribution Projects in the Project Management division project portfolio including the HVDC Modernization Project.

Responsibilities:
  • Maintain ownership over the Shared Mailbox for Financial Services for the intake of invoices/progress statements and respond and/or action various inquiries/requests.
  • Manage and oversee the volume of invoices assigned within the Financial Services team (and adjusting contract assignments as required) and monitor the PM Division's invoices/progress statements to ensure they are assigned promptly and that contractual payment obligations are adhered to.
  • Maintain joint-ownership and data integrity of the Project Management Division Contract dataset and responsible for assigning contracts to the Accounting Analysts assigned to review and process invoices/progress statements.
  • Develop and maintain ownership of Progress Statement Templates for contracts and maintenance of templates as changes are executed.
  • Provide support to the HVDC Modernization project with respect to capital budgeting and planning.
  • Provide support to the HVDC Modernization project with respect to maintaining Copperleaf on behalf of Project Management and executing workflows as required.
  • Assist in the preparation of project specific financial reports and/or analyses for the HVDC Modernization project.
  • Review and analyze actual cost expenditures to ensure costs are allocated appropriately on projects; prepare and park correcting journal entries as required and adjust in Time & Expense Management (TEM) as needed.
  • Provide SAP guidance and training on the use of financial aspects of SAP to the Division.

Qualifications:
  • Completion of a four-year degree in Business or Commerce from a University of recognized standing, plus two years directly related experience.
    OR
  • Completion of a two-year diploma in Business Administration, plus four years directly related experience.
  • Demonstrated advanced knowledge and expertise in SAP PS, MM, and CO module for investigation of cost and resource data related to capital projects.
  • Thorough understanding of cost accounting principles and practices and of the Corporations procedures, policies, and regulations.
  • Demonstrated advanced skills in the application of Microsoft Excel.
  • Demonstrated intermediate to advanced skills in utilizing SharePoint lists/libraries with an aptitude to perform higher functions using Power Automate and Power Apps.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, accept responsibility and to plan, organize, and control activities of various concurrent work assignments.
  • Demonstrated strong interpersonal skills with the ability to establish and maintain harmonious working relationships and interact effectively with divisional staff at all levels.
  • Experience working in project environment and general knowledge of project management systems and principles would be an asset.
  • Experience with C55 Copperleaf would be an asset.
  • Experience in process improvement projects would be an asset.

Salary Range
Starting salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. The range for the classification is $35.06-$48.51 Hourly, $67,173.34-$92,947.40. Annually.
