Operational Coordinator  (Term Full-Time)
Campus Living 
 
POSITION TYPE: Full-Time, Term Position Available, Term position with a possibility to become permanent (anticipated September 23, 2024 up to April 4, 2025) 
 
SALARY: $42,564 - $60,000 per annum

POSITION LOCATION: Exchange District Campus (Winnipeg, MB)

DUTIES
The Operational Coordinator, Campus Living, reporting directly to the Manager, Campus Living, performs a wide range of administrative responsibilities to ensure the effective and efficient functioning of the off-campus housing program. The incumbent provides exceptional customer service and assistance to all potential and current students and guests of Red River College Polytechnic and is a dedicated resource for students navigating the off-campus housing market. The incumbent will collaborate with local community members and partners to build a sustainable network of off-campus housing options for students. They play a leading role in shaping the student experience with program and resource delivery that aids in the transition to off-campus living, including informational sessions regarding tenant rights and responsibilities and skill-building workshops on conflict management and being a positive community member.
 
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school diploma with a minimum of two year’s working experience in the housing or hospitality industry
  • Experience providing office and administrative operational support
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Experience using resident management software systems
  • Strong organizational skills including managing deadlines, prioritizing workload and adjusting accordingly to meet business needs
  • Experience working with Microsoft Office Programs (Excel, Word, Teams, and Outlook)
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships
  • Ability to work independently and demonstrate initiative with minimal supervision, as well as work effectively as part of a team
  • Experience working with confidential information and knowledge of FIPPA/PHIA
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

ASSET QUALIFICATIONS

  • Valid CPR & First Aid Certification
  • Experience working in post-secondary institution
  • Experience using ERP systems
  • Class 5 Driver’s License
 
CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT

  • Applicants must be legally entitled to work in Canada
  • This position may be required to work evenings and/or weekends
  • This position may be required to work overtime
  • Incumbent must provide a current and satisfactory Criminal Records Check, including a Vulnerable Persons Sector Check
