Jordan’s Principle Case Manager

TERM:                  Full-time permanent
POST:                   Dakota Tipi First Nation
SALARY:               Salary & hours to be determined based on experience and availability
 
Job Description: The Purpose of the Case Manager is to support the Team Lead and Jordan’s Principle team members in providing services that meet the needs of children, youth and families in the community. The Case Manager reports directly to the Jordan’s Principle Team Lead. 

Qualifications: 

·        Bachelor of Social Work, Nursing, Education or ECE III preferred
·        Two (2) years experience coordinating and/or managing social programs and services
·        One (1) year direct service experience with children and families
·        Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
·        Ability to work independently and as a member of a multidisciplinary team.
·        Ability to prioritize and organize assignments in an efficient manner.
  • Basic familiarity with Jordan’s Principle is required.
  • Experience working with First Nation citizens is an asset.
  • Self-starter with demonstrated organizational and problem-solving skills, as well as multi-tasking abilities, and ability to work within a team environment.
  • Demonstrates exemplary customer and client service skills.
  • Demonstrate a high level of competency in coordination, communications, and administration.
  • The ability to apply discretion when dealing with confidential or sensitive information.
  • Able to handle pressure, works well in a fast-paced organization, in time sensitive situations.
  • Excellent computer knowledge and keyboard skills. Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Adobe is essential.
  • Advance skills in coordination and operation of online video conferencing platforms such as Zoom, Skype, Microsoft Teams is essential.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
  • Satisfactory Criminal Record Check.
  • Clear Children and Adult Abuse Registry Check.
  • Must have a valid Manitoba Driver’s License and reliable vehicle as travel will be required.
  • All successful candidates must provide proof of COVID-19 vaccination.
