POSITION TYPE: Full-Time Position Available  
 
SALARY: $75,400 - $106,277 per annum

ELIGIBILITY LIST: This competition may be used to establish a 6 month eligibility list of qualified candidates for future vacancies.
 
DUTIES
Reporting to the Director, Building Efficiency Technology Access Centre (BETAC), the incumbent will be tasked with managing and facilitating research projects and initiatives collaboratively with RRC Polytech faculty, staff, students, private industry and the public sector. This professional role encompasses project management, staff supervision, and administrative responsibilities.
 
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Graduate degree in Mechanical or Instrumentation Engineering; an equivalent combination of relevant education and experience may be considered
    Several years of relevant experience in the industry, with in-depth knowledge of the Canadian construction and building sector, including applicable codes, regulations, and industry standards
  • Demonstrated knowledge of laboratory testing methods for building envelopes
  • Extensive experience in the preparation of grant applications for funding agencies
  • Experience with business planning, operations management and business development
  • Excellent customer service skills and the ability to work collaboratively with a wide variety of constituents and organizations
  • Strong organizational skills and time management skills
  • Demonstrated project management skills
  • Demonstrated effective human resource management skills
  • Demonstrated research dissemination planning and delivery skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience building a respectful workplace culture that promotes diversity, learning and continuous improvement
 
ASSET QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience with the design and installation of instrumentation plans for various building projects
  • Formal training and/or certification in Project Management
 
CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT

  • Applicants must be legally entitled to work in Canada
  • This position may be required to work evenings and/or weekends
  • This position may be required to work overtime
  • Incumbent must hold a valid class 5 driver`s license
  • Incumbent must be physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs.
