Under the general direction of the Asset Management Applications Lead, you will be responsible for providing support for the drawing and document management solutions and Computer Aided Design and Drawing (CADD) software at Manitoba Hydro. This includes Documentum, the Autodesk product suite, and related applications.  

Responsibilities:
  • Provide software support including provisioning of access, software installation and repair, configuration of profiles and settings, participation in upgrades and deployments, and addressing issues related to functionality and processes as required for the supported applications, primarily Autodesk product suite and Documentum.   
  • Participate as Subject Matter Expert for related CADD or Document Management initiatives or projects.  
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to configure and maintain various Documentum services and related applications.  
  • Assist in the administration of Manitoba Hydro's Autodesk products and Industrial Controls Configuration Management System Vault environments.
  • Assist in the management of the Autodesk license environment.
  • Monitor and evaluate the performance of the software/applications supported and address issues that arise or escalate as required.  
  • Establish test procedures and test scripts as required for initiatives. 
  • Perform quality checks on integrations across related systems after software updates. 
  • Assist engineering personnel in the configuration of the software to maximize productivity.
  • Keep abreast of new technologies in the areas of computer-aided engineering, and/or document management through publications, contacts with other organizations, utilities etc., and through attendance at seminars and conferences as applicable.  
  • May be required for after-hours work as needed.   

Qualifications:
  • A four-year degree in Computer Science from a university of recognized standing and a minimum of two years of directly related experience, preferably in a software support role.
    OR 
  • A two-year Diploma in IT Operations from an institute of recognized standing and a minimum of four years of directly related experience, preferably in a software support role. 
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with proven customer service and client support skills. 
  • Able to troubleshoot complex software problems using established problem-solving techniques.
  • Knowledge of the Autodesk suite of products and services and/or Documentum is an advantage. 
  • Familiarity with document lifecycle management principles and knowledge of information management tools.
  • Having general knowledge and ability to do programming using Visual Studio (.NET), Java, Microsoft SQL, Oracle 19c, XML, AutoLISP, and Javascript is an advantage.
  • General knowledge of engineering software products.
  • Experience with service management software, for example, BMC Remedy, ServiceNow, etc.
  • Capable of clear, concise oral and written communications to deliver technical material to people at all levels, including staff not familiar with computer technology.
  • Must have initiative and be able to work under minimal supervision.

Salary Range 
Starting salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. The range for the classification is $27.88-$48.16 Hourly, $53,425.06-$92,279.98 Annually.
