SALARY: $63,375 - $96,946 per annum*
*The successful candidate with a Masters or PhD in a related field will receive an Educational Supplement of $2,850 or $5,700 per annum, respectively, pro-rated on an hourly basis.

DUTIES
Reporting to the Chair, Electrical Trades, the Instructor will instruct in the areas of Power Electrician, Construction Electrician, levels 1 through 4, and Related trades electrical to teach apprentices the theoretical and practical aspects of three-phase systems and analysis, electronics and power electronics, control systems and automation, AC/DC theory, and the Canadian Electrical Code as they apply to the electrical industry. Specific duties will include teaching various electrical apprenticeship courses using both face-to-face and online delivery methods; preparing all course materials, including outlines, lesson plans, examinations, and tests, and assignments; assessing and evaluating students according to apprenticeship standards; updating curriculum materials to reflect industry changes as required, and participating in College internal/external events and committees are required by the department.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Valid Manitoba Journeyperson's PE license, Certification for the Power Electrician trade
- Significant and current industry experience in the electrical trade
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to use conflict resolution techniques to facilitate positive outcomes
- Demonstrated leadership skills
- Strong presentation skills
- Ability to teach on campus and remotely
- Demonstrated experience using Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to work independently as well as in small to large group settings
- Critical thinking skills
- Strong commitment to safety regulations
- Experience building a respectful workplace culture that promotes diversity, learning and continuous improvement
ASSET QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience developing curriculum and instructing at a post-secondary level
- Certificate in Teaching for Learning or Adult Education
- Experience developing and instructing distance-delivered courses including online
- Experience using a Learning Management System (LMS) to deliver blended (synchronous and asynchronous) instruction
- Valid Manitoba Journeyperson's license, Red Seal Certification for the Construction Electrician Trade
CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT
- Applicants must be legally entitled to work in Canada
- This position may be required to work evenings and/or weekends
- This position may be required to work throughout the academic year including the summer months
- Instructors are required to complete the Teaching for Learning (TFL) in Applied Education program or have previously completed the Certificate in Adult Education (CAE)
- May be required to work at various RRC Polytech campuses
