Conditions of Employment:
Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
Must be physically capable of performing the duties of the position including performing manual labour outdoors.
Must possess an acceptable drivers abstract.
Must be willing and able to work weekends evenings and statutory holidays.
Must possess and maintain a full class 5 driver's licence.
Qualifications:
Essentials:
Experience operating and maintaining tractors, riding mowers, and trucks up to 3 ton capacity.
Experience working in manual labour tasks such as loading and unloading materials, hand excavations.
Experience performing regular maintenance and minor repairs on various types of power equipment.
Experience in the safe operation of hand tools and minor power equipment.
Desired:
Effective written and verbal communication skills.
Experience working under limited supervision.
Duties:
The incumbent is responsible for the manual labour tasks, septic services, and routine mantenance and development of various construction and/or maintenance projects at the Wekusko Falls Helitac Base. The incumbent is also responsible for the safe operation and regular maintenance and minor repairs of various types of power equipment, and medium and large capacity vehicles.
