SALARY: $46,862 - $65,993 per annum

DUTIES
Red River College Polytechnic’s Centre for Learning and Program Excellence (CLPE) is looking for an Administrative Assistant to support a variety of tasks across all of CLPE. Reporting to the Administrative Coordinator (CLPE), the Administrative Assistant will perform a wide range of administrative responsibilities to ensure operational priorities are met in a timely manner. The incumbent will demonstrate initiative and the ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively as part of the CLPE team. The successful candidate will be detail oriented with strong administrative and communication skills and will be responsible for preparing accurate and detailed documents, scheduling and event planning, reports and meeting minutes and communicating effectively on topics of varying complexity. Other duties include building relationships and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders, developing and using electronic filing systems, supporting financial management and managing project timelines.
 
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Formal education in office or business administration. An equivalent combination of education and relevant experience in administration or business may be considered
  • Experience providing support and performing office administrative responsibilities
  • Demonstrated proficiency, accuracy and attention to detail in administrative tasks including recording meeting minutes
  • Excellent written communication skills with the ability to draft, proofread and edit communications of varying complexity
  • Effective organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects effectively
  • Extensive experience using MS Office Suite applications and conferencing tools including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Microsoft Teams
  • Experience building relationships and working collaboratively in a team environment
  • Experience with purchasing, reconciling expenses and tracking budget expenditures
  • Experience using electronic filing systems for data management
  • Experience planning, scheduling and coordinating meetings and events
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and perform duties with tact and diplomacy
  • Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated ability to take initiative and work independently with minimal supervision
  • Demonstrated ability to develop relationships and collaborate with stakeholders
  • Experience building a respectful workplace culture that promotes diversity, learning and continuous improvement
ASSET QUALIFICATIONS
  • Experience with creating and maintaining databases
  • Experience working within a post-secondary institution
  • Experience developing curriculum resources in a Polytechnic environment
CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT

  • This position may be required to work evenings and/or weekends
  • Incumbent must provide a current and satisfactory Criminal Records Check
  • This position may be required to travel
  • May be required to work at various RRC Polytech campuses
