Introduction
The Department of Housing, Addictions and Homelessness is currently seeking qualified individual to fill Property Manager position located in either Flin Flon or The Pas.

Must be able to work overtime, including rotating on-call evenings and weekends.
Must possess and maintain a valid Full Class 5 Manitoba Driver's Licence.
Must have access to a motor vehicle and the ability to travel frequently to the Flin Flon housing office, with occasional travel to the housing office in The Pas.
Must be able to meet physical demands of position including walking through large facilities, climbing flights of stairs, lifting up to 15 lbs, working in confined spaces at times and attending to Manitoba Housing properties.
Qualifications:
Essential:
Experience in facility management. This includes the coordination of maintenance and repair work, creating scopes of work, ground maintenance, and unit/building inspections.
Ability to interpret, communicate and apply acts, regulations, policies, and procedures. Including the Residential Tenancies Act.
Experience in tenant management functions including tenant orientation, lease agreements and rental payments.
Strong customer service skills with the ability to deal effectively with diverse tenants and the general public.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to work under pressure with competing deadlines.
Strong verbal communication skills.
Strong written communication skills.
Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook or equivalent software.
Experience administering a budget and reporting on expenditures.
Desired:
Effective leadership skills with the ability to supervise staff in a unionized environment.
Duties:
Under the direction of the District Manager, the Property Manager ensures the efficient and effective management of assigned Manitoba Housing properties, and is responsible and accountable for all property management functions and activities within their assigned building(s) including: maintenance of buildings and grounds; leasing; vacancy management; tenant relations; and the effective communication between tenants and all other areas of Manitoba Housing. Property Managers are required to travel extensive distances to cover their portfolios, including travel to remote areas and on gravel roads with no cell service available. Property Managers may be required to be available for standby evenings and weekends on a rotating basis. All assigned duties will be carried out in accordance with the policies, procedures and guidelines established by Manitoba Housing, The Residential Tenancies Act and the Residential Tenancies Branch.
