Instructor, Early Childhood Education (Term Full-Time)

POSITION TYPE: Full-Time, Term Position Available (anticipated August 1, 2025 up to March 31, 2026) 
 
SALARY: $63,375 - $96,946 per annum*
*The successful candidate with a Masters or PhD in a related field will receive an Educational Supplement of $2,850 or $5,700 per annum, respectively, pro-rated on an hourly basis.

DUTIES
Instructors are required to teach a variety of courses in the Early Childhood Education (ECE) field for Red River College Polytechnic. Instructors are responsible to create and maintain a welcoming, positive learning environment that supports diverse learners while building community. Duties include but are not limited to: maintaining student records, classroom management, student evaluation, Work-Integrated-Learning (practicum) supervision, marking and grade submission, preparing course outlines and curriculum development. The Instructor may be asked to teach either online and/or in-person.
 
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Early Childhood Educator III Classification, or a Bachelors Degree in Family Social Sciences, Developmental Studies, Child Studies. A combination of education and experience may be considered
  • Several years experience working as an Early Childhood Educator in Canada
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Effective leaderships skills
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently as well as in small to large group settings
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office tools such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Teams
  • Ability to create a positive classroom environment for diverse learners with a commitment to student success
  • Experience building a respectful workplace culture that promotes diversity, learning and continuous improvement

ASSET QUALIFICATIONS
  • Experience instructing and training at a post-secondary level
  • Demonstrated understanding and incorporating Indigenous Knowledge and ways of teaching in Early Childhood Education

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT
  • Applicants must be legally entitled to work in Canada
  • This position may be required to work evenings and/or weekends
  • Instructors are required to complete the Teaching for Learning (TFL) in Applied Education program or have previously completed the Certificate in Adult Education (CAE)
  • This position may be required to work throughout the academic year including the summer months
  • Incumbent must provide a current and satisfactory Child Abuse Registry Check
  • Incumbent must provide a current and satisfactory Criminal Records Check, including a Vulnerable Persons Sector Check
  • May be required to work at various RRC Polytech campuses
