SALARY: $51,573 - $72,573 per annum

DUTIES
The Campus Living Specialist serves as a dedicated resource for students navigating the housing market, working closely with internal colleagues and external partners to enhance safety and enrich the experience of both students and guests. Their efforts support the broader educational goals of Red River College Polytechnic by helping to meet diverse housing needs of the College community. 
This role involves regular collaboration with local community organizations and both internal and external stakeholders to build and sustain a network of housing options for students.
The Specialist helps shape the student experience by delivering programs and resources, including residence life initiatives, informational sessions on tenant rights and responsibilities, and skill-building workshops on conflict resolution and positive community engagement.
Additionally, they support the ongoing development and operations of the Summer Guest Housing business.
 
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Completion of post-secondary education in Business, Hospitality, or Social Sciences from an accredited institution 
  • Experience working in relevant roles within a residence environment
  • Demonstrated program management experience highlighting the full program development lifecycle including planning, analysis, development, implementation and evaluation
  • Demonstrated working knowledge of technology commonly found in operational management settings, including but not limited to business management software, workflow tools, payment systems and MS Office Suite
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills to prepare and deliver reports, correspond in a way that meets the needs of a specific audience and lead/participate in effective meetings 
  • Demonstrated ability to think critically and successfully manage competing tasks in a fast-paced environment, while adhering to mutually agreed upon timelines and maintaining high quality standards
  • Demonstrated conflict resolution skills and ability to respond appropriately in stressful environments while ensuring the health and safety of the community at large
  • Ability to learn new technologies and to use them to provide efficient process improvement initiatives and support others in their development of these skills
  • Experience in fostering partnerships and creating opportunities for growth
  • Experience working within prescribed/preapproved budgets and using resources effectively
  • Experience building a respectful workplace culture that promotes diversity, learning and continuous improvement

ASSET QUALIFICATIONS
  • Experience using eRezLife software
  • Experience working within a Post-Secondary Environment
  • Experience working with Residential Tenancy agreements
  • Experience living in a Residence environment
 
CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT
  • Applicants must be legally entitled to work in Canada
  • This position may be required to work evenings and/or weekends
  • This position may be required to work overtime
  • Incumbent must provide a current and satisfactory Criminal Records Check, including a Vulnerable Persons Sector Check
  • May be required to work at various RRC Polytech campuses
  • Incumbent must hold a valid class 5 driver`s license
  • This position may be required to travel
