Introduction
The Department of Labour and Immigration is currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to fill a Manager – MPNP Skilled Worker (PM3) position within the Immigration division.

Essential:
Post-secondary education, preferably at the graduate level in business administration, public administration, or other relevant discipline. An equivalent combination of education, training and relevant work experience may be considered.
Work experience in a Canadian immigration context with working knowledge about trends and best immigration practices to support the development and delivery of immigration policies and programming.
Significant experience in researching, developing and applying policy and/or programs within a work setting.
Excellent written communication skills with the ability to produce various documents in a clear and concise manner for a variety of audiences.
Excellent verbal communication skills with the ability to facilitate meetings and clearly present complex issues to a variety of audiences.
Highly developed interpersonal skills with demonstrated experience developing and maintaining collaborative working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Strong political acumen to manage confidential, controversial or politically sensitive material and situations in an appropriate manner.
Excellent organizational and time management skills, including the ability to manage competing and rapidly changing priorities, while overseeing the workloads of others, within strict timelines.
Strong analytical and problem solving skills with the ability to provide advice and recommendations to senior management.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to supervise staff including performance management and evaluation, developing and mentoring of staff.
Proficiency with MS Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook) or similar software applications.
Desired:
Knowledge of the Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program.
Duties:
Reporting to the Executive Director of the MPNP, the Manager of MPNP Skilled Operations is responsible for the overall day-to-day activities of the Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP) – Skilled Worker stream- to ensure the effective and smooth execution of the established goals and objectives of the program.
The Manager works in close collaboration with the managers of the MPNP and the Strategic Initiatives team to ensure the MPNP meets its overall goals and objectives to support economic growth in Manitoba through immigration.
