Introduction
Environment and Climate Change is seeking qualified individuals to fill a Trades Helper position located in the North Whiteshell at Rennie. Rennie is located approximately 140 km east of Winnipeg, MB.

Must posess and maintain a full stage Manitoba Class 5 driver's licence.
Must be willing to work weekends, shift work and holidays as required.
Must be physically able to perform the duties assigned to the position including lifting approximately 23 kg in weight, standing for prolonged periods.
Must be willing and able to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
Qualifications:
Essential:
Experience in the duties of carpentry, building construction and maintenance.
Experience in cost estimates and ordering material.
Experience in plumbing installation, repairs and maintenance.
Experience in operating and maintaining construction tools and power equipment.
Desired:
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work as a team and with the public.
Demonstrated ability to work independently.
Working knowledge of WSH procedures and practices including certification.
Supervisory experience.
Duties:
Under the direction of the Park Works Supervisor the incumbant performs semi-skilled work of more than ordinary difficulty using acquired skills: responsible for the construction and maintenance of building infrastructure within the park; performs minor plumbing repairs and routine maintenance to park facilities; assists in placing potable water systems into service at beginning of season and dismantle systems in the fall at various locations; performs miscellaneous duties as required to sewer and water systems as well as other infrastructure; may be responsible for directing other staff, maintains inventory of parts and equipment necessary for the related jobs; and performs other related duties as assigned.
