POSITION SUMMARY:

The Marketing Manager should demonstrate a high level of competence in employee and supplier management, relationship management, customer service, project management, documentation, and written verbal communication.

This position will require the Manager to quickly develop a strong understanding of ITM policies and procedures, organizational plans and activities. This role will support the CEO, focusing on delivering results, managing team contractors and projects and meeting deadlines in line with ITM’s high standards, effectively collaborating with internal and external partners on a regular basis creating positive industry awareness and building strong relationships. ITM is seeking a candidate to lead and guide its marketing initiatives, enhancing the organization's visibility as well as that of ITM members and partners.

Accountabilities 

·       Support leadership team to implement ITM’s multi-year strategic plan
·       Achievement of departmental strategic priorities and goals
·       Lead contributions towards and creation of annual marketing plan and presentation documents.
·       Communications Management: Responsible for implementing all communications activities as outlined in the strategic plan
o   Preparation of monthly and quarterly newsletter
o   Management and procurement of digital assets
o   Updates to ITM’s website considering marketing content and social channels
o   Lead ITM’s marketing strategy as well as the joint marketing plan with Travel Manitoba and the Indigenous Tourism Association of Canada
o   Working with CEO to procure key suppliers: contracted content creators, publisher, social media platforms
·       Managing direct reports:
·       Setting annual goals and individual deliverables, regular performance management and training support as needed
o   Marketing / SEO / social media 
·       Provide weekly updates for leadership reporting
·       Prepare quarterly reports and final year end report
·       Marketing liaison for multi-departmental projects including ITM events and others as determined by strategic plan or by CEO
·       Managing and adherence to marketing department budget

QUALIFICATIONS

·       Post-secondary education in marketing and / or communications related field

REQUIREMENTS

·       Knowledge of Indigenous communities, businesses and similar organizations across Canada
·       Minimum 3 years work experience in a similar role
·       Experience working with non-profit organizations
·       Project management experience
·       People management experience is an asset

·       Excellent interpersonal, communication skills, both written and verbal
·       Solid organizational skills including attention to detail, multitasking and ability to meet deadlines
·       Ability to manage competing timelines, and responding to changing priorities
·       Excellent relationship building skills
·       Independent self-starter
·       Adaptable and flexible to changing priorities
·       Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office
·       Travel will be required for this position
·       Possession of current valid Manitoba driver’s license
