EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY: EXECUTIVE ASSISTANT
 
ROLE: 
 
The Executive Director (ED) of the Treaty Land Entitlement Committee (TLEC) of Manitoba is seeking a highly qualified and extremely reliable individual to serve as Executive Assistant (EA) for a full-time position within the TLEC’s Implementation Office, located on the Swan Lake First Nation’s Reserve land in Headingley, MB. (*West of the John Blumberg Golf Course).   
 
Under the ED’s immediate supervision and direction, the EA will provide all administrative and clerical support to the ED, and other staff as directed and required. 
 
QUALIFICATIONS:
 
·        Extensive experience performing secretarial duties at the senior level.
·        Experience in maintaining a filing system, both electronic and paper.
·        Demonstrated experience in written communications skills including recording and transcribing meeting minutes, formatting, editing and proofing.
·        Ability to organize meetings including coordinating and assembling background material.
·        Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work both independently and as a team member.
·        Superior organizational and planning skills, attention to detail, and ability to meeting critical deadlines.
·        Proficient with Microsoft Office. 
·        Demonstrated ability to work with sensitive information and maintain confidentiality.
·        Knowledge of First Nation-Crown Treaties, the 1997 Manitoba Treaty Land Entitlement Framework Agreement, government documents and processes is an asset.
·        Legal and/or financial administrative experience is also an asset.
·        Must have a valid Manitoba driver’s license and access to a vehicle.      
 
SALARY: Subject to experience and education.
