Duties:
This position reports to the Divisional Financial Officer for the Immigration Division of Labour and Immigration in a shared services model. The position coordinates and performs specialized administrative, financial, human resource and payroll functions as well as providing job specific training to administrative staff within the Division.
Qualifications:
Essential:
Post secondary education in a Business Administration, Financial or related field. A combination of education and experience may be considered.
Financial accounting knowledge and experience in accrual and
commitment accounting.
Excellent leadership skills.
Experience using Microsoft Office programs including Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.
Strong organizational and time management skills, including the ability to independently prioritize workload and meet strict deadlines.
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work co-operatively and effectively in a team environment.
Effective problem solving skills and decision-making skills with the ability to analyze and do research.
Excellent verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally.
Strong written communication skills with the ability to write clear and concise documents with strong attention to detail.
Desired:
Experience with SAP and/or similar accounting systems would be an asset.
Ability to read, write and verbally communicate in French.
