POSITION TYPE: Part-Time, Term Position Available (anticipated January 26, 2026 up to May 29, 2026) 
 
SALARY: $25.54 - $35.97 hourly
 
POSITION LOCATION: Notre Dame Campus (Winnipeg, MB)

DUTIES
Reporting to the Manager of the Adult Learning Centre in the School of Continuing Education, the Administrative Assistant will provide administrative support to ensure the efficient and effective operations of the department. The incumbent will manage the day-to-day operations of the department’s office. Duties include greeting and advising students and visitors; coordinating and supporting appointments, meetings and events; establishing and maintaining files, including confidential information; responding to enquiries by phone and email; ordering supplies; preparing routine and draft correspondence; distributing materials; and, assisting with various events conducted by the department and the College. This part-time position has four workdays per week.
 
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Certificate or diploma in office administration or a related field; an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered
  • Experience providing administrative support in an office environment, including front-line customer service
  • Effective organizational, time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and initiatives
  • Effective analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to take initiative and make timely decisions
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and conflict resolution skills, with demonstrated ability to build and maintain effective working relationships
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, and collaboratively within a team environment
  • Proficient with computer applications and Microsoft 365, including Teams, Outlook, Word, and Excel
  • Experience building a respectful workplace culture that promotes diversity, learning and continuous improvement
 
ASSET QUALIFICATIONS
  • Experience with RRC Polytech systems such as Colleague, LEARN, HUB, HRIS, Maestro and Reporting
  • Knowledge of Manitoba High School Curricula and Mature Student High School Diploma requirements
 
CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT
  • Applicants must be legally entitled to work in Canada
  • This position may be required to work evenings and/or weekends
  • Incumbent must provide a current and satisfactory Criminal Records Check
