WHAT YOU WILL DO
Reporting to the Director, Information Technology Solutions, The Manager, Enterprise Support and Enablement (ESE) leads a team of enterprise end‑user support and enablement professionals to ensure staff and students can reliably use RRC Polytech’s digital environment so that teaching, research, and operations run effectively. Establishes and advances institution‑wide service practices, tooling, and standards to improve service quality, resiliency, and productivity across the Polytech.
The Manager exercises sound financial stewardship by managing and allocating assigned institutional resources responsibly to support sustainable IT operations, ensuring the effective oversight of assigned budgets, and contributing to institutional IT financial planning process.
WHAT YOU WILL BRING
- Degree in Information Technology, Information Technology Management, or equivalent combination of education and/or experience that shows a depth of experience in Information Technology with a focus on service and support structures
- Certificate in management or other relevant Post-secondary education in management or leadership or equivalent combination of education and/or experience
- A demonstrated history of maintaining currency of knowledge through ongoing education and professional development.
- Excellent communication skills, (presentation, written, and verbal)
- Strong relationship management and emotional intelligence
- Demonstrated self-management capabilities to work independently, define priorities and set goals
- Strong planning and organizational skills
- Several years in a supervisor or management role providing oversight to a formal service desk; or a reasonable and comparable history of demonstrated support experience that shows breadth of experience, accountability, and influence
- Several years experience in a large organization with senior level technical responsibility related to tier 1 or tier 2 support; or several years experience in a large organization with senior level technical responsibility related to end user computing management including influence of standards and purchase decisions; or a reasonable and comparable history of demonstrated support and/or workstation management experience that shows breadth of experience, accountability and influence
- Experience in asset management practices
- Strong team leadership, mentorship and performance management skills
- Experience building a respectful workplace culture that promotes diversity, learning and continuous improvement

- Salary Range for this position: $84,767 - $119,527 per annum
- Generous Paid Vacation: full-time employees accumulate a minimum of 15-days vacation per year, increasing to 30 days with service, while full-time Instructors accumulate 44 days per year. Information on casual and part-time vacation accrual is outlined in the Collective Agreement or the Terms and Conditions for Excluded Employees as applicable
- December Break: employees receive time off with pay during the period between Boxing Day and New Year's Day
