Position Overview:
Reporting to the Manager of Marketing, the Brand Strategy Officer works to help enhance both external and internal communications, optimize internal workflows and assist with the development of strategic marketing initiatives within the Corporate Communications & Marketing Division.
This position works with other team members on the development of communications and marketing materials, helping to ensure alignment with the corporate brand. Additionally, the role involves creating and implementing marketing communication strategies for large-scale projects, providing performance reporting to demonstrate value to the Director of Corporate Communications & Marketing and other executive leaders, and acting as one of the division's Client Account Managers, assigned to a Business Unit. This is a term position with an approximate duration of 10-12 months.
Responsibilities:
- Support journey optimization and customer experience (CX) improvement by ensuring that newly developed content is clearly presented and brand aligned.
- Assist in project management for communications or marketing initiatives as required.
- Assist in the development and evaluation of channel strategies.
- Work with team members in marketing, communications, and research to ensure that projects are meeting pre-determined goals and success metrics.
- Working with the Director and Managers, provide insights and optimizations into divisional activities to demonstrate value to executive leaders.
- Work with parties across the enterprise to help leaders understand brand positioning, audience trust, and social permission.
- Act as a Divisional point of contact for customer research.
Qualifications:
- Completion of a four-year university degree in business (or relevant discipline) from an institute of recognized standing plus four years of directly related experience;
OR - Completion of a two-year diploma in Business Administration (or relevant discipline) from an institute of recognized standing plus six years of directly related experience.
- Demonstrated experience in the development and execution of customer communication plans.
- Demonstrated experience in supporting application of corporate brand strategy would be a significant asset.
- Demonstrated experience in development of customer content for both digital and non-digital communication channels.
- Proven business acumen, and adept at thinking and communicating in a commercial context to leverage various types of data to help develop strategies that enhance communications and achieve business objectives.
- Outstanding relationship-building skills.
- A proven ability to effectively build and maintain a broad range of relationships at a variety of levels, both internally and externally.
- Strong communication (written, oral, presentation) skills and a high level of comfort, credibility, and confidence with public speaking.
- Possess an analytical nature, self-motivating, and a demonstrated ability to exercise sound judgment in making decisions related to the development and implementation of communications and marketing solutions.
- Tactful, have a pleasant personality, and be willing to work with others in a team environment.
- Demonstrated ability to lead high performance cross-functional teams in a cohesive manner.
Salary Range
Starting salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. The range for the classification is $43.35-$59.82 Hourly, $83,070.78-$114,625.68 Annually.
