Position Overview:
Under the general direction of the Project Financial Support Manager, this position provides leadership in the coordination, oversight, and continuous improvement of key financial processes within the department. You play a central role in delivering high quality financial analysis and ensuring effective process governance. Additionally, this position serves as a key contributor to supporting strategic, organization wide capital planning, federal funding oversight and regulatory proceedings. This position will also provide leadership and coordination of contract management and the development and implementation of effective contract monitoring processes.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the coordination of financial analyses and reports to support capital planning and forecasting and executive decision making.
- Oversee the preparation, review, and continuous improvement of monthly, quarterly, and annual capital reporting processes, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and strong financial controls.
- Lead and ensure the accuracy, compliance, and timely completion of funding progress reports, claims and audit processes.
- Support regulatory filings and proceedings by coordinating financial schedules, preparing responses, reviewing evidence, and assisting with witness preparation.
- Contribute to the development, refinement, and oversight of capital related policies, procedures, and governance frameworks to enhance process effectiveness and accountability.
- Provide leadership and coordination of contract management and the development and implementation of effective contract monitoring processes.
Qualifications:
- A Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation with four years related experience, combined with progressively responsible work experience and demonstrated skills and abilities for the position.
- Strong financial and analytical expertise, with experience in accounting principles, financial systems, and capital processes.
- Proven leadership abilities, including supervising teams, fostering collaboration, and working effectively with stakeholders across an organization.
- Demonstrated sound judgment, problem solving skills, and the ability to handle confidential or complex matters independently.
- Experience with contract management and contract monitoring processes would be an asset.
- Excellent communication skills and the capacity to deliver high quality work in fast paced environments while managing multiple priorities.
Salary Range
Starting salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. The range for the classification is $52.88-$72.45 Hourly, $101,332.40-$138,828.30 Annually.
