The Policy and Strategic Priorities Division (PSP) supports the development of Manitoba’s technology sector through strategic planning, workforce and economic development, and investment attraction initiatives.
Duties:
Reporting to the Director of Corporate Services, the Manager of Corporate Services leads the development, coordination, and implementation of cross-departmental policy and planning initiatives. The Manager of Corporate Services manages the flow of internal and external briefings, coordinating documentation, and ensuring timely communication across stakeholders. The position supports Executive Management Committee (EMC) and department leadership by providing high-level advice, performance monitoring, strategic communications, and reporting aligned with departmental priorities and government mandates.
Qualifications:
Essential:
Post-secondary education in Public Administration, Business Administration, Communications, or a related field. An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may be considered.
Extensive experience conducting complex policy research, analysis, evaluation, and program development at a senior level.
Experience leading cross-departmental policy initiatives, strategic planning, and performance management within a government or public sector environment.
Excellent written communication skills with the ability to prepare executive-level documents and present to senior audiences.
Excellent verbal communication skills including the ability to make formal and informal presentations to a variety of audiences.
Demonstrated supervisory or leadership experience.
Strong political acumen to manage highly confidential, controversial, and/or politically sensitive information, and conduct business in a professional manner.
Strong interpersonal skills including the ability to build and maintain positive working relationships and partnerships with a variety of internal and external stakeholders.
Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage competing deadlines while working under pressure managing multiple priorities in tight timeframes.
Strong analytical and decision-making skills.
Desired:
Experience with Lean methodologies, process improvement techniques, and continuous improvement.

Ability to travel within Manitoba
Must possess and maintain a valid Manitoba Class 5F Driver's Licence or similar from another jurisdiction
