We are seeking highly organized and professional Administrative Assistants to provide comprehensive support to senior executive staff within the Government of Manitoba. The Administrative Assistant requires exceptional attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with tact and discretion. These positions require experience drafting, proofreading, editing and formatting a wide range of documents; managing files and track incoming and outgoing correspondence and emails; managing senior executive calendars; experience with travel arrangements, and answering telephones and public inquiries, and must have exceptional communication skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally with internal and external stakeholders.

Qualifications:
Essential:
Extensive experience providing administrative and secretarial support to executive and senior level staff.
Experience scheduling and coordinating meetings, travel arrangements, taking minutes, meeting preparation and day to day administrative support.
Experience working in a high-volume administrative environment with consistently shifting priorities.
Excellent written communication skills, with the ability to draft, format, edit and proofread correspondence on behalf senior level staff, with excellent attention to detail.
Demonstrated political acumen and ability to effectively manage and maintain confidentiality when dealing with sensitive documents and information.
Experience coordinating the flow of incoming and outgoing correspondence and maintaining physical/digital filing.
Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills to interact professionally with a variety of internal and external stakeholders, while maintaining strong working relationships.
Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize workloads and effectively manage deadlines and shifting priorities.
Ability to work independently and take initiative, while managing unexpected changes or last minute requests.
Experience in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.
Desired:
Post secondary education in office administration is an asset.
SAP experience is an asset.
Experience in AIMS or SIMS.
