Reporting to the Park Work supervisor 3, or designate, and under limited supervision, the incumbent will assist in the planning, co-ordination, implementation and supervision of typical maintenance, operation and construction activities in the Rennie District which involves three major campgrounds. This includes winter trails, back country, interpretive trails, snowmobile trails, water distribution and waste water collection systems.

Qualifications:
Essential:
Experience in building, construction and maintenance of facilities.
Supervisory experience including providing training, guidance and direction to staff.
Experience or training in project management including construction estimation, monitoring budgets, purchasing and inventory control.
Ability to organize, plan and prioritize a complex and changing workload.
Strong interpersonal skills including the ability to work in a team environment.
Experience inspecting and monitoring the maintenance of water and waste water systems.
Strong verbal communication skills.
Strong written communication skills.
Knowledge of the Workplace Health and Safety Act.
Desired:
Experience using Microsoft Office applications or similar computer applications.
Ability to read, write and verbally communicate in French is an asset.
Conditions of Employment:
Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
Must possess and maintain a valid full stage Manitoba Class 5 driver’s license.
Must be physically able to perform the duties and responsibilities of this position which may require some moderate lifting up to 23kg, bending, walking and working in various types of outdoor conditions.
Must be able to work evenings, weekends and statutory holidays
Must be able to travel and work in other outlying areas in the Region.
