Position Overview:
Under the direction of the supervisor or senior team lead, you will support the implementation, configuration, testing, and sustainment of business applications primarily within the Work Management Applications domain. Works within a team of Business Systems Analysts and System Developers to assist with requirements gathering, documentation, and routine system changes. Develops familiarity with business processes and application functionality while contributing to requirements analysis and modelling under supervision.

Responsibilities:
  • Performs routine system changes and assists senior team members with moderately complex configuration tasks under guidance.
  • Creates basic requirement statements and simple process flows with guidance; maintains notes and traceability links.
  • Participates in team knowledge-sharing activities and seeks guidance from more experienced team members.
  • Assists in preparing test cases and executes routine system testing under the guidance of senior team members; documents results and defects.
  • May participate in IT software projects, upgrades, or initiatives by supporting assigned tasks such as documentation, testing, or configuration under the guidance of senior team members.
  • Provides basic guidance to business users on system functionality and business processes under the direction of senior team members.
  • Provides basic user assistance and resolves routine incidents or service requests related to the Work Management system and associated processes under supervision.
  • Assists in communicating basic reporting requirements to analytics specialists; supports data validation and testing of dashboards under guidance.
  • Maintains awareness of new functionality within assigned systems and tools; reviews documentation and shares findings with team under guidance.
  • May participate in vendor meetings with guidance from senior team members; captures notes and follows up on assigned actions.
  • Assists in the preparation of end-user training materials and may support training sessions under the direction of senior team members.
  • Utilizes standard tools such as SAP, ServiceNow, and Microsoft Office under guidance to support documentation, testing, and incident resolution.
  • Maintains awareness of software maintenance and software user licensing requirements and assists senior team members with tracking compliance activities.
  • Keeps systems updated by applying routine patches and following guidance from senior team members.
  • Provides input into team-level planning activities when requested; shares observations on system functionality and user needs.

Qualifications:
  • A four-year Bachelor degree (Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline preferred) from a recognized university plus a minimum of one years related business analyst experience;
    OR
  • A two-year Diploma (Business, Information Technology or related discipline preferred) from an institute of recognized standing plus a minimum of three years related business analyst experience;
    OR
  • Grade 12 and a Business Analyst Certificate plus a minimum of five years related business analyst experience.
  • IIBA Certification would be considered an asset.
  • Lean, Agile, or OCM certifications would also be considered assets.
  • Ability to develop working knowledge of assigned business processes and Work Management–related applications with guidance.
  • Working knowledge of business analysis methods and tools; able to apply foundational techniques with guidance while developing competence in standard BA processes.
  • Ability to analyze basic information, identify gaps, and document findings with guidance; able to create simple process flows and basic requirement statements.
  • Working knowledge of Agile and Waterfall practices; ability to follow established delivery processes under guidance.
  • Ability to assist with test case preparation and execute tests as assigned, documenting results with guidance.
  • Ability to produce clear notes, basic process flows, and simple specifications using standard templates, with guidance on modeling techniques.
  • Ability to use basic documentation and modelling tools with guidance (e.g., Visio, Miro).
  • Ability to communicate clearly, prepare materials, and support meetings by gathering information, documenting discussions, and coordinating logistics.
  • Ability to identify issues, seek clarification, and escalate risks or discrepancies appropriately.
  • Ability to learn from mentoring, apply feedback to work products, and contribute positively within a team environment.

Salary Range
Starting salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. The range for the classification is $34.73-$48.04 Hourly, $66,553.76-$92,054.04 Annually.
