Introduction
Brandon Correctional Centre is located in the northeast corner of that city. It is primarily a medium-security centre, with a rated capacity of 244 adult males. It also provides western Manitoba with short-term holding for young offenders and 8 adult females.
Duties:
The Chaplain in the Centre maintains a visible presence, delivers pastoral care, provides religious services and sacramental ministries as appropriate, conducts religious education activities, community interpretation and integration of Chaplaincy into the life of the institution in line with the foundational spirit on which Chaplaincy is based for the purpose of promoting positive healthy change and to help reduce the risk of recidivism and reoffending.

Qualifications:
Essential:
Master of Divinity (or equivalent from an accredited institution).
Ability to interview and counsel inmates and their families.
Excellent interpersonal skills.
Ability to plan, organize and follow-up in a multi-disciplinary environment.
Knowledge of criminal justice issues and community resources.
Experience working with indigenous people and their culture.
Desired:
Knowledge of religious programs and educational activities.
Clinical pastoral and intervention experience.
Demonstrated experience working in a high stress environment with persons experiencing crisis.

Must maintain an endorsement by an ecclesiastical authority and be in good standing
Must provide and maintain a satisfactory Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Search
