Position Overview
The Speech-Language Pathologist is a member of an interdisciplinary, school-based team providing specialized communication-related services to First Nations schools across Manitoba. Responsibilities include assessment, programming, therapeutic intervention, and consultative services within a three-tiered service delivery model to support student participation and access to learning.

Qualifications
  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology. 
  • Licensed or provisional member in good standing with the College of Audiologists and Speech-Language Pathologists of Manitoba (CASLPM).
  • Eligible for or holding Manitoba Education certification as a School Clinician in Speech-Language Pathology.
  • Valid Class 5 driver’s license, and access to an insured vehicle.
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation, Inclusive Education practices and Manitoba curriculum frameworks.
  • Strong intercultural communication and relationship building skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team.
  • Willingness to travel to rural and remote First Nations communities.
  • Experience working in First Nations education settings and/or fluency in a First Nations language is an asset.
