ABOUT THE TEAM
As a member of the Centre for Learning and Program Excellence (CLPE), this position contributes strategically and operationally to organizational development initiatives, administration, program coordination, and research and planning activities. Core responsibilities include: learning curricula design and review, logistical and technical assistance with in-house employee development programs and deliverables, team based consultations, research and analysis, proposal/report preparation, project management, change management, program planning/delivery, and consultation.
 
WHAT YOU WILL DO
The Organizational Development Consultant works collaboratively with all employees, faculty and leaders to advance the Polytechnics’s vision, mission, strategic and operating plans through carefully selected and executed learning and development opportunities.
 
Consulting with individuals and groups, using a variety of assessment, design, evaluation and tracking methods, the Organizational Development Consultant is a trusted partner in establishing and carrying out organizational strategies that increase and enhance the organizational culture of learning and enhance employee knowledge and engagement. 
 
The Organizational Development Consultant builds and maintains relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including project teams, departments, senior leadership and external vendors to ensure a constant “finger on the pulse” on both internal needs and external trends in order to proactively foster a highly competent and multi-skilled workforce capable of achieving RRC Polytech strategic priorities.
 
WHAT YOU WILL BRING
  • Degree in education, business, organizational development, human resources, adult learning. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered
  • Experience and ability to research data, gather information, and prepare proposals for leadership
  • Experience in assessing needs, designing and facilitating in-person, virtual, and hybrid workshops for employees across roles
  • Experience in project management and achieving quality results as measured by client satisfaction
  • Knowledge and experience of leading practices and emerging issues in, leadership and employee development, organizational development, human resource management and higher education trends
  • Experience with group process and facilitation techniques
  • Ability to communicate effectively both interpersonally and in writing to a wide range of audiences
  • Collaborative, team-oriented, solution and client-focused working style
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and complexity
  • Experience providing management consulting services to client groups in an organization
  • Strong organizational, analytical, problem solving, and decision-making skills
  • Ability to positively influence and gain input and support from key stakeholders for new programs, initiatives and projects
  • Proficiency in MS Office including Outlook, Excel, Word, Power Point, SharePoint, Co-Pilot
  • Knowledge and experience in applying instructional design methodologies
  • Experience building a respectful workplace culture that promotes diversity, learning and continuous improvement

NICE TO HAVE
  • CAE/TFL, CPHR, IPL and/or CACE/PDAL Certification
  • Knowledge and/or Prosci Change Management Certification
  • Experience in a leadership role, including leading, coaching and mentoring individuals and teams

  • Salary Range for this position:  $70,441 - $99,301 per annum
  • Generous Paid Vacation: full-time employees accumulate a minimum of 15-days vacation per year, increasing to 30 days with service, while full-time Instructors accumulate 44 days per year. Information on casual and part-time vacation accrual is outlined in the Collective Agreement or the Terms and Conditions for Excluded Employees as applicable
  • December Break: employees receive time off with pay during the period between Boxing Day and New Year's Day
