Introduction
Manitoba Transportation and Infrastructure is looking to fill one (1) full-time term position in the Steinbach office.  
Duties:
The Administrative Assistant position provides confidential administrative and front line reception support in a timely and professional manner for a number of senior staff in the Regional office. This position must interact effectively with department employees, staff from other government agencies, and members of the public to ensure a high level of customer service.

Qualifications:
Essential:
  • Completion of post-secondary education and/or training in administrative or clerical support. An equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be considered
  • Experience using timekeeping software such as SAP
  • Experience with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel and Outlook)
  • Excellent written communication skills, with experience drafting and editing correspondence or other communications
  • Excellent verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with the public and other staff
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate and build strong working relationships in a team environment, with other staff and with the public
  • Experience providing reception services including processing mail and filing
  • Effective organizational and time management skills including the ability to prioritize workloads to meet strict deadlines
  • Experience handling confidential and/or sensitive information in a professional manner
  • Ability to pay attention to detail and maintain a high degree of accuracy
