WHAT YOU WILL DO
Reporting to the Associate Dean of Transportation and Manufacturing at Red River College Polytechnic, the Administrative Assistant plays a pivotal role in ensuring departmental efficiency. In this dynamic position, you will demonstrate initiative, working both independently and collaboratively within the team. Your primary responsibilities include preparing precise documents, reports, and meeting minutes, effective communication with stakeholders, managing electronic documents, supporting financial tasks, and overseeing project timelines. Additionally, you will provide professional customer service to students and staff and assist with travel coordination, expense claims, and contracts. If you're detail-oriented and possess strong administrative and interpersonal skills, consider applying for this integral role in our department.
 
WHAT YOU WILL BRING
  • A post-secondary certificate in office or business administration, or a related field Equivalent combinations of education and relevant experience will be considered
  • Demonstrated proficiency and accuracy in administrative tasks, including meeting minute recording and office support responsibilities
  • Excellent written communication skills with the ability to draft, proofread, and edit communications of varying complexity
  • Effective organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects efficiently
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite applications and conferencing tools, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Teams
  • Experience in building relationships and working collaboratively in a team environment
  • Experience with financial management responsibilities, such as monitoring and tracking budget expenditures and creating and maintaining financial reports
  • Familiarity with electronic filing systems for data management
  • Experience in planning, scheduling, and coordinating meetings and events
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and perform duties with tact and diplomacy
  • Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated ability to take initiative and work independently with minimal supervision
  • Experience building a respectful workplace culture that promotes diversity, learning and continuous improvement
  • Experience working with contracts and contract stakeholders

  • Salary Range for this Position: 51,084 to 71,931 per annum
