Position: SUPERVISOR – PERMANENT, FULL-TIME
Location: Winnipeg and Main Office (Kinonjeoshtegon First Nation)

Kinonje Abinoonjiiag Niigan Inc.’s objective is to provide child protection and family services to the Kinonjeoshtegon First Nation membership on and off-reserve.
Kinonje Abinoonjiiag Niigan Inc. requires a Supervisor for both of our offices located in Winnipeg and at our Main Office in Kinonjeoshtegon (Jackhead) First Nation. Each position is responsible to supervise a team of Case Managers and administrative staff, and provide staff with direction in case management, child protection assessment and ensuring program service delivery needs are met.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITES:
· Oversee case management and case planning to ensure that the agency complies with provincial and federal legislation.
· Supervise implementation and evaluation consistent with the agency’s strategic plan; support services assessment, family unit decision making.
· Ensure that agency policies, procedures and guidelines are implemented and adhered to by staff, including reporting requirements, file recording expectations and other duties associated with frontline workers.
· Supervision with Case Managers bi-weekly and file reviews quarterly.
· Develop effective staff and working teams through a comprehensive process of team building, staff training and program planning.
· Network with community stakeholders, government agencies, other CFS agencies, other First Nation organizations to improve youth in care outcomes.
· Willing to work after hours and/or weekends as requested.
· Other supervisory duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
· Bachelor of Social Work degree from an accredited university preferred but consideration may be given to other post-secondary education plus a minimum of five years direct child welfare experience in a mandated child and family agency.
· Knowledge of CFS legislation and standards.
· Excellent assessment, interviewing and counselling skills.
· Excellent written and oral communication skills.
· Good organizational, time management and prioritizing skills.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and CFSIS.
· Sensitivity to and understanding of First Nations culture and values.
· Valid Manitoba Driver’s License and a reliable fully insured vehicle as the position requires travel to First Nation community.
