 PROJECT WORKFORCE PROGRAM LEAD
 FULL TIME TERM (Term end March 2029 possible extension)
 Location: Thompson or Winnipeg

 

Under the direction of and reporting to the Pusiko Development Project Manager, the Project Workforce Program Lead will use a collaborative approach to provide expertise over the life of the Project.  This is an initial three (3) year term with the expectation of extension.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

·         Responsible for developing and implementing Indigenous recruitment and onboarding
·         Responsible for developing training paths and ensuring fit-for-purpose training 
·         Responsible for workforce development initiatives
·         Resolution of barriers to employment
·         Identification of entrepreneurial opportunities
·         Collaboration with Nations in the pursuit of KEDC project employment/career paths
·         Responsible for reporting,  performance management, employee relations and supports
·         Responsible for general HR policies and ensuring polices and employment standards are implemented effectively
·         Works in collaboration and facilitates resolution of issues and roadblocks
·         Prioritize conflicting deadlines
·         Maintain and track a detailed list of project requirements, matching training and potential staffing 
·         Supporting and building strong relationships.
 
Qualifications and Professional Experience
·         3+ years of human resources with a preference for project staffing 
·         Experience with Manitoba’s construction training and education providers and opportunities
·         Strong interpersonal and communication skills, the ability to relate effectively, reliably and professionally
·         Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build multi-level relationships
·         Ability to demonstrate tact, diplomacy and professionalism and exercise discretion 
·         Strong written and verbal communication skills
·         Demonstrates a positive attitude and approach
·         A high standard of judgment, problem solving and initiative
·         Strong time management skills and the ability to work with minimal supervision
·         Detail-orientated with superior time management and organizational skills.
·         The ability to speak Ininew or Dene is an asset.
·         Must provide a currently clear Criminal Records check and fingerprints, Child and Vulnerable persons checks, prior to commencement of employment.
