WHAT YOU WILL DO
Reporting to the Manager, Work-Integrated Learning (WIL), the incumbent is responsible for liaising with industry stakeholders and employers in the development of Work-Integrated Learning opportunities for students in a variety of trade programs. This role will identify, establish, and maintain relationships with industry partners to create work placements and other Work-Integrated Learning opportunities that support student and program goals. The Work-Integrated Learning Coordinator will provide guidance to employers to facilitate meaningful student work experiences and successful placements. This role will also guide and counsel students in preparation for their WIL placement and monitor completion of their work term requirements. Duties include developing and delivering placement preparation information and orientation for students and employers. Communicating Work-Integrated Learning information and requirements with employers, faculty, staff, and students regarding Work-Integrated Learning opportunities. Coordinating student and employer networking activities, visiting partner sites, maintaining and creating databases to track student progress, and developing promotional materials for placements are expectations of this role.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING
- Certificate from a recognized post-secondary institution in any of the following trade programs: Carpentry, Electrical, Plumbing or Piping trades, Millwright, Refrigeration / HVAC, or related equivalent experience
- Experience liaising with industry stakeholders across Manitoba or Canada, with the ability to build, develop and maintain relationship
- Demonstrated work experience in one of the following fields: Carpentry, Electrical, Plumbing or Piping trades, Millwright, Refrigeration / HVAC
- Experience in career development, staff development, human resources or employment advising
- Experience in guiding or mentoring others
- Effective presentation skills, including facilitating workshops, training and orientation sessions.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage and focus on multiple priorities
- Knowledge of the current labor market for job development and employment advising
- Demonstrated initiative and ability to work independently with minimal supervision and collaboratively within a team environment
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment where accuracy and attention to detail is required, while meeting deadlines
- Proficient in Microsoft 365 (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Share point, Teams, Bookings, Power Automate / Power Bi)
- Experience with administrative responsibilities, leveraging and adapting new and existing technology to create operational efficiency including cloud automation and collaboration platforms.
- Excellent interpersonal and conflict resolution skills
- Effective problem solving and critical thinking skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills: Experience providing customer service to a multi-cultural and multi-needs customer base
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive issues
- Experience building a respectful workplace culture that promotes diversity, learning and continuous improvement
NICE TO HAVE
- Comfortable using AI assisted platforms to streamline strategy, planning, and operational workflows
- Ability to use AI tools to gather, analyze, and report data

- Salary Range for this position: $65,975 - $92,986 per annum
- Generous Paid Vacation: full-time employees accumulate a minimum of 15-days vacation per year, increasing to 30 days with service, while full-time Instructors accumulate 44 days per year. Information on casual and part-time vacation accrual is outlined in the Collective Agreement or the Terms and Conditions for Excluded Employees as applicable
- December Break: employees receive time off with pay during the period between Boxing Day and New Year's Day
