WHAT YOU WILL DO
Reporting to the Supervisor, Exam Accommodations, the Assessment Clerk plays a vital role in supporting the efficient functioning of the unit.

You will be responsible for preparing, administering, and invigilating quizzes, tests and exams for a diverse clientele base, in accordance with specific rules, parameters, and protocols. You will assist with the coordination of assessments, organize testing rooms and equipment, and respond to inquiries from students, faculty, and staff, providing excellent customer service. You will also perform a variety of administrative duties, including compiling statistics, filing, photocopying, reception, and overall office management.
Success in this role requires professionalism, attention to detail, discretion, and a commitment to providing exceptional service to diverse groups of people.
WHAT YOU WILL BRING
- A post-secondary certificate in a relevant field, such as Administrative Assistant, Business Administration, or Social Services; a combination of education and experience may be considered
- Experience working in an educational setting, supporting persons with disabilities, or both
- Customer service experience, including experience interacting with individuals from diverse backgrounds
- Administrative support experience in an education-oriented or corporate environment
- Strong computer skills, including experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) with the ability to learn more complex software applications
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Effective verbal and written communication skills and excellent interpersonal skills
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Experience building a respectful workplace culture that promotes diversity, learning and continuous improvement

- Openness to using AI tools as relevant to role specific work
- General understanding of disability issues in a post-secondary educational setting

- Salary Range for this position: $40,942 - $57,720 per annum
- Generous Paid Vacation: full-time employees accumulate a minimum of 15-days vacation per year, increasing to 30 days with service, while full-time Instructors accumulate 44 days per year. Information on casual and part-time vacation accrual is outlined in the Collective Agreement or the Terms and Conditions for Excluded Employees as applicable
- December Break: employees receive time off with pay during the period between Boxing Day and New Year's Day
