Job Title: Respite Clinical Case Manager

Position Summary
The Respite Clinical Case Manager is responsible for coordinating, monitoring, and supporting respite services for children and families. This role ensures that families and caregivers receive timely, safe, and appropriate respite supports for children in their care. This role involves strong communication, ongoing assessments, providing documentation, and follow ups for families and their respite services. The Respite Case Manager also provides continuous home visits, and ensures safety standards are monitored with the overall GLFN Sub Office Jordan’s Principle respite services.
Key Responsibilities
Family & Worker Coordination
- Build and maintain positive, strengths‑based relationships with families accessing respite services.
- Communicate regularly with families to assess needs, match them with appropriate respite workers, and ensure ongoing satisfaction with services.
- Review and assess the suitability of chosen respite workers, including experience, capacity, and alignment with family needs.
Documentation & Compliance
- Collect, track, and maintain all required documentation from families and respite workers, including timesheets, progress notes, incident reports, and service summaries.
- Ensure all Criminal Record Checks and Child Abuse Registry Checks for respite workers remain current and compliant with agency and provincial standards.
- Maintain accurate, confidential case files in accordance with agency policy and legislation.
Program & Staffing Support
- Oversee auxiliary staffing for events, child‑minding, and community programming, including scheduling, communication, and on‑site support.
- Be available to support in‑office programming, family nights, or respite‑related activities as needed.
- Participate in team meetings, case reviews, and collaborative planning with internal and external partners.
General Duties
- Uphold trauma‑informed, culturally safe, and family‑centered practices.
- Contribute to program development, evaluation, and continuous improvement.
- Perform other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
Qualifications
- University or College degree/diploma/certification is an asset.
- A related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience working with children, families, or community‑based programs.
- Knowledge of respite services, disability supports, or family programming is an asset.
- Strong communication, assessment, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work professionally with Indigenous families and their respite workers
- Knowledge & familiarity with God’s Lake community values and traditions.
- Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle may be required.
Clear Criminal Record Check, Child Abuse Registry Check, and Vulnerable Sector Check is compulsory
