Position Overview
The Early Learning Facilitator (ELF) provides support in the area of early learning to ensure that the vision, mission, goals, and objectives of the Manitoba First Nations' Education Resource Centre (MFNERC) are aligned with services and programs developed by First Nations. The ELF works collectively with other MFNERC program facilitators and staff to support, plan, organize and manage the delivery of educational support services to Manitoba First Nations' schools. The ELF will be required to travel to MFNERC's partnered schools and communities to deliver member school services throughout Manitoba. The ELF will also be required to plan and present workshops on a semi-annual basis.
Qualifications, Education & Experience

Qualifications, Education & Experience
- - Bachelor of Education with a minimum of five (5) years of related experience; and/or Early Childhood Education III or minimum of ECE II with related experience in Early Learning Programs;
- - Demonstrated experience in decision-making, problem-solving, establishment of priorities, dealing with various governance bodies, organizations and communities
- - Strong understanding of First Nations education development, reform strategies and awareness of the socio-economic conditions of Manitoba First Nations;
- - Experience working with First Nations' people or communities in the education field would be considered;
- - Exceptional interpersonal and cross-cultural skills to work in a First Nations' environment;
- - Fluency in a First Nations' language would be considered an asset;
- - Exceptional communication skills, written and oral and both in plain and technical terms;
- - Awareness of the Manitoba Early Childhood frameworks;
- - Must be computer literate and proficient;
- - Class 5 Driver's License and reliable vehicle; and
- - Satisfactory clearance of a Criminal Record/Vulnerable Sector and Child Abuse Registry Checks.
