ABOUT THE TEAM
The Centre for Learning and Program Excellence (CLPE) team contributes both strategically and operationally to organizational development initiatives, administration, program coordination, and research and planning activities across the organization.
 
The team’s work includes learning curricula design and review; logistical and technical support for in-house employee development programs and deliverables; team-based consultations; research and analysis; proposal and report preparation; project and change management; program planning and delivery; and consultation.

WHAT YOU WILL DO
Red River College Polytechnic’s Centre for Learning and Program Excellence (CLPE) is looking for an Administrative Assistant to provide administrative support across the department. Reporting to the Administrative Coordinator (CLPE), you will perform a wide range of administrative responsibilities to support day-to-day operations and ensure departmental priorities are completed accurately and in a timely manner.
 
As the Administrative Assistant, you will demonstrate initiative and work effectively both independently and collaboratively as part of the CLPE team. You will bring strong administrative, organizational and communication skills, excellent attention to detail, and a high level of proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
 
In this role, you will prepare accurate and detailed documents, reports and meeting minutes; coordinate schedules, meetings and events; communicate effectively on topics of varying complexity; and build collaborative relationships with internal and external RRC Polytech stakeholders. You will also develop and maintain electronic filing systems, support financial management activities, and coordinate project timelines.
 
WHAT YOU WILL BRING
  • Post-secondary Administrative Assistant certificate. An equivalent combination of education and relevant experience may be considered
  • Perform a range of administrative functions, including preparing and processing correspondence, maintaining departmental records and files, coordinating information, and supporting day-to-day departmental operations
  • Coordinate purchasing and contract administration, including quotes, requisitions, contracts, agreements and related documentation
  • Provide meeting and committee support, including agendas, meeting materials, minutes, documentation and follow-up on action items
  • Experience administering budgets, invoices, financial records, reporting, databases, records management, compliance requirements and accreditation documentation
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Microsoft Teams and conferencing technologies
  • Ability to build effective working relationships and communicate professionally with diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational, coordination, analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, maintain confidentiality, and contribute to an inclusive and respectful workplace
  • Experience building a respectful workplace culture that promotes diversity, learning and continuous improvement

  • Salary Range for this position:  $49,595 - $69,838 per annum
  • Generous Paid Vacation: full-time employees accumulate a minimum of 15-days vacation per year, increasing to 30 days with service, while full-time Instructors accumulate 44 days per year.
