 Part Time Finance Assistant


The part-time Finance Assistant will be required to work a minimum of 30 hours bi-weekly, salary to be negotiated. The Finance Assistant will work closely with the Bookkeeper in maintaining the financial records, including purchases, sales, receipts, and payments of four inter-related corporations. As well as ensure legal requirements compliance, process accounts payable and receive and manage invoices. Our ideal candidate will have experience working in QuickBooks Online Plus Accountant and Microsoft Office Suite. Responsibilities include accurately recording all day-to-day financial transactions of all four of our corporations: Anish Corporation, AMIK Inc., 5468443 MB Ltd. and Akiing Onji Foundation Inc.
 
 

KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

·         Make inter-company entries as required.

·         Perform accounts payable functions, including bills and bill payments, reviewing, and accurate coding.

·         Perform account receivable functions, including, invoicing, applying payments, collections, and revenue recognition.

·         Preparation of financial statements for all four companies for the monthly finance meeting.

·         Assist Bookkeeper with Yearend processing for all four corporations as required.

·         Interpret and apply accounting policies, rules, and regulations to all work to ensure compliance with applicable standards.

·         Maintain bank and credit card reconciliation spreadsheets.

·         Manage and monitor program/project expense spreadsheets and documentation.

·         Assist with financial administrative duties as required for all four companies including: maintaining all financial and payroll filing, entering sales receipts (Amik), any QuickBook inquiries from the management team and other duties as required.



EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
 

·         Accounting certificate/training preferred
 
·         Good knowledge of accounting and bookkeeping procedures
 
·         Strong mathematical skills
 
·         Proficiency with Microsoft 365, especially Excel and other financial software, preferably QuickBooks
 
·         Strong time management skills
 
·         Ability to work independently and on a team
 
·         Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
 
·         Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships at all organizational levels
