Shift Schedule: Monthly shift schedules covering 24/7, 365 operations
Shift Length: 8–12 hours per shift, includes days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays

Position Overview: Peguis Child and Family Services is seeking a passionate Resource Home Support Worker to provide care and supervision for children and youth in our Resource Homes, including those with high-risk needs. This role follows a monthly shift schedule to keep our homes staffed 24/7, 365 days a year. The worker will foster a safe, nurturing environment while working under the guidance of the Specialized Foster Parent.
Key Responsibilities
- Be a caring and reliable role model for children and youth
- Supervise and care for children during assigned shifts, including overnight
- Respond calmly and effectively to crises
- Support daily routines (hygiene, meals, activities)
- Perform household tasks such as cleaning, cooking, and laundry
- Escort children to appointments or activities
- Administer medications according to policy and procedure
- Maintain accurate daily logs, incident reports, and documentation
Qualifications
- High school diploma (or equivalent)
- Experience working with children/youth in care or high-risk environments
- Valid First Aid/CPR (or willing to obtain)
- Valid driver's license and access to insured vehicle ($2M liability coverage)
- Ability to work overnights, weekends, and holidays
- Must pass the following checks before employment:
- Criminal record check (with vulnerable sector search)
- Child Abuse Registry check
- Adult Abuse Registry check
